Darragh Center, Main Library
The Butler Center will celebrate the opening of the Leroy Donald Collection with a screening of Hello Folly! A Brief History of the Farkleberry Follies and a panel discussion with Farkleberry Follies skit creators Craig Douglass and Bill Lancaster. The Farkleberry Follies was a program of political satire produced in alternating years by the Society of Professional Journalists. Leroy Donald was the creative genius behind the program.
The Butler Center for Arkansas Studies received the Leroy Donald Collection in 2009. The collection contains documents, video footage, photographs, and newspapers related to the career of Leroy Donald as a journalist and to his work as the producer of the Farkleberry Follies, a program of political satire produced in alternating years by the Society of Professional Journalists. The Butler Center has now made the collection available to the public through the Research Room in the Arkansas Studies Institute.
