Playwright Robert Ford and University of Arkansas historian Jeannie Whayne will discuss Look Away, a new play about the famous Wilson family in Mississippi County and two African Americans who narrowly escaped a lynching in the 1930s.
Look Away was written by Ford, based on research by Whayne. Recently, it appeared at the Arkansas New Play Festival at TheatreSquared in Fayetteville.
After a short presentation by Whayne on the facts behind the story, the two will discuss the sometimes blurred line between fact and fiction.
